The Graduate Center for Worker Education is CUNY's premier master's degree program in urban policy, administration and public health. The Center serves New York City's working professionals and trade unions as an academic institution that leads to career advancement and higher academic degrees. The Center houses the Labor Policy Instituteand the journal, Working USA. In its accessible location in Lower Manhattan, it host conferences and academic events.

A Focus on Academic Excellence and Student Support
The Graduate Center for Worker Education provides a rich, supportive academic environment for a diverse, mature student body whose members seek credentials for professional advancement. Faculty and administrators work closely with students in academic counseling and in the development of career goals. The modern campus at 25 Broadway includes state of-the-art computer and videoconferencing laboratories. High-speed Internet labs are available for student research Monday through Friday from 12 noon to 8 p.m. The Center also offers assistance in writing and study skills. Students enrolled in programs at the Graduate Center for Worker Education may use library, computer, and sports facilities on the main campus of Brooklyn College.
Students benefit from study with a distinguished faculty actively engaged in academic and labor research. The Graduate Center for Worker Education sponsors seminars, conferences, distance-learning, videoconferencing and is represented at labor-related national academic conferences. It also sponsors the peer-reviewed Working USA: The Journal of Labor and Society, a nationally acclaimed school.
