Hon. Dena E. Douglas sits onthe bench at the Civil Court of the City of New York, King County. Dena Douglas’ previous professional experience includes: Kings County District Attroney’s Office, Assistant District Attorney; Deputy Bureau Chief, Domestic Violence and Homicide; Bureau Chief, Trial Bureau. Also,the Dena Douglas worked with the U.S. Department of Justice, Counter-terrorism Section, as well as the
Office of Attorney General for the District of Columbia as the Senior Advisor to the Attorney General.

Hon. Dena Douglas received admission to the bar in 1992 at the NYS, Appellate Division, Second Department. She had previously received her BS at Northwestern University, and her JD at St. John’s University, School of Law.

Dena Douglas was a lecturer for the Department of Political Science at Brooklyn College’s Graduate Center for Worker Education. She taught Politics and Public Opinion.
